P.rostratum

  Habit         :A bushy shrub with erect or suberect stem, dichotomously branched, lower nodes thickened, lower side of the leaves and peduncles roughly tomentose.
  Leaves     :Large, membranous, shortly petioled, oblong orbicular or somewhat fiddle-shaped, acuminate, 7-nerved at the rounded or cordate often unequal base, 12.5 - 17.5 by 5-10 cm., base usually narrowed, glabrous or puberulous above, nerves slender; petiole stout, 0.31 - 1.25 cm.
  Spikes      :Fruiting spikes short cylindric, style elongate, 1.25 - 2.5 cm., long; male spikes not seen; peduncle very short; bracts orbicular.
  Fruits        :Globose, 0.31 - 0.42 cm. diam.; style very variable in length, as long as the fruit or shorter.
