| Habit : | A slender vine with thinly coriaceous leaves, branches slender, terete or obscurely furrowed when dry.
| | Leaves : | Thinly coriaceous ovate or elliptic 3-5-nerved at the base and 3-nerved higher up. Leaves 10-15 by 5 - 7.5 cm., base rounded or subacute; nerves very slender, nervules faint; petiole 0.63 - 1.25 cm.
| | Spikes : | Fruiting spikes 15-20 cm., pedicels slender longer than the very small globose fruit. Female spikes slender; bracts obscure in fruit, cup-shaped, adnate to the glabrous rachis, bracteoles short.
