ABOUT

This database is designed in the disease aspect of horticultural crops. You can find the species affecting different crops and also the management methods that are developed and are being used effectively. We also integrate a literature database which contains abstracts of publications on phytophtora from the pubmed database.

This database is developed primarily from the information generated through a National network project on Phytophthora Diseases of Horticultural Crops (PHYTONET) funded by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research [ICAR], New Delhi, India, for the period September 1997 to August 2002.

Some of the informations about crops are collected from Wikipedia the free encyclopedia(WWW.EN.WIKIPEDIA.ORG/WIKI)

The Phytophthora species affecting various crops have been obtained from the book Phytophthora Worldwide by Donald C. Erwin, Olaf K. Ribeiro 1996 printed by APS Press.
