About PhytoFuRa
PhytoFuRa is a research initiative of Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi in a network mode deal with three major pathogens of horticultural and field crops namely Phytophthora,Fusarium and Ralstonia. It is an outreach program of Indian Institute of Spices Research (IISR), Calicut involving 15 other crop based institutions under ICAR and a horticulture university. The Crops covered under IISR, Calicut are black pepper and ginger. The other crops covered in this project includes coconut, cocoa, banana, tuber crops, citrus, guava, oil seeds and vegetables. It is envisaged as a network project with three separate sub-network projects:
- Sub project on Phytophthora
- Sub project on Fusarium &
- Sub project on Ralstonia.
