P.capsici

Phytophthora capsici species is one among the most studied one in phytopthora varieties. Sporangia are mostly papillate. Sporangiophores that are formed under light are irregularly branched and sympodia form only in water. P. capsici in predominately heterothallic. Antheridia are amphigynous. Oogonia are spherical or subspherical and hyaline to brown. Optimum growth temperature in 28 degree Celsius
