P.cryptogea

P.cryptogea was first described as the casual agent of tomato fruit rot in Ireland. P.cryptogea is morphologically very similar to P.drechsleri. Sporangia are oval to obpyriform with rounded bases, non papillate and persistent on the stalk. P.cryptogea is heterothallic and requires pairing with opposite mating type to form amphigynous antheridia and spherical oogonia. Growth temperature is 22-25 degree Clsius
