Introduction
Canna yellow mottle virus (CaYMV) is Badnavirus infecting Canna species, results in spotted or streaked leaves, in a mild form, but can finally result in stunted growth and twisted and distorted blooms and foliage. Recently it is also reported to infect betel vine in India.

Particle Morphology
Virions are bacilliform of 120-130 nm in length and 28 nm wide.
Transmission Method
Transmitted by vegetative means. No vectors known so far.
