Carnation latent virus (CLV) is a plant pathogenic virus belongs to the genus Carlavirus and infects carnation crops in India.

Particle Morphology

Flexuous particles measuring 650 x 13 nm .

Transmission Method

Transmitted by a vector Myzus persicae (Aphididae) in a non-persistent manner. Virus is also transmitted by mechanical inoculation but not transmitted by seed.

Detection

ELISA.

Dianthus caryophyllus (Carnation) Mild or no symptoms.
Allium sativum (garlic) Mosaic symptoms
Scadoxus katharinae (football lily) Mosaic symptoms
