Introduction
Carnation necrotic fleck virus (CNFV) is a plant pathogenic virus belongs to Closterovirus the genus infect only species of Caryophyllaceae. carnation yellow fleck virus, carnation streak virus are few strains usually seen.

Particle Morphology
Flexuous virus particles of about 1400 to 1500 nm long.
Transmission Method
Transmitted by a vector Myzus persicae, Aphis craccivora and Aphis gossypii(Aphididae) in a semi-persistent manner; transmitted by mechanical inoculation (with difficulty); not transmitted by contact between plants.
