Introduction

A virus prevalent in bulbous iris but reported also in rhizomatous iris and Ferraria undulata. iris mosaic virus, iris latent mosaic virus are few strains present.

Particle Morphology

A virus with filamentous particles of about 750 x 12 nm.

Transmission Method

Transmitted by a vector Aphis gossypii, Macrosiphum euphorbiae and Myzus persicae in a non-persistent manner.

ELISA, RT-PCR and IC-RT-PCR .

Host Range and Symptomatology
