Introduction
Potato virus M (PVM) is a plant pathogenic virus. Potato paracrinkle virus, Potato virus E, Potato leafrolling mosaic virus are few strains commonly seen.

Particle Morphology
A virus with straight to slightly curved filamentous particles with 650 x 12 nm.
Transmission Method
Transmitted by a aphid vector; an insect; Myzus persicae in a non-persistent manner. Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation.
Detection
ELISA and RT-PCR.
