Red clover vein mosaic virus (RCVMV) incites a stunt disease in peas in India. The disease is sporodic in nature and infected plants produce moderate to severe symptoms resulting in yield loss upto 88%.

Particle Morphology
Filamentous particle of clear modal length of 600-700 x 12 nm.
Transmission Method
Transmitted by a vector; Acyrthosiphon pisum, Myzus persicae, Therioaphis (Pterocallidium) maculatus, Cavariella aegopodii, C. theobaldi in a non-persistent manner. Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation; transmitted by seed.
