Tomato leaf curl Joydebpur virus
Family : Geminiviridae
Genus : Begomovirus
Acronym : ToLCJoV
Introduction
The begomovirus isolated from tomato plants showing leaf curl and stunting symptoms in West Bengal, was shown to be distinct based on its genome sequence and named as Tomato leaf curl Joydebpur virus (ToLCJoV). The genome organization of this virus was found to be similar to those of Old World monopartite begomovirus, with DNA A and a betasatellite component. Neither alphasatellite nor DNA B component was detected. It is also reported to infect chili and kenaf.
