Introduction

Strawberry latent ringspot virus (SLRSV) is a plant pathogenic virus reported infect Lily and Rose in India. yellow flecking of young leaves, reduction in leaflet size while some were symptomless.

Particle Morphology

Isometric particles of 30 nm in diameter.

Transmission Method

Transmitted by a vector; a nematode; Xiphinema diversicaudatum; Dorylamidae. Virus transmitted by mechanical inoculation; transmitted by seed.

Detection

ELISA and RT-PCR.

Host Range and Symptomatology

Rosa spp (Rose) Chlorotic ringspots and stunting.
Lilium bulbiferum (Lily) Flecking in young leaves and reduction in leaflet size, while some were symptomless.
