Introduction
Ageratum enation virus (AEV) is virus belonging to the genus, Begomovirus. It is known to infect several hosts such as Calendula officinalis, Ageratum houstonianum, tomato, pointed gourd (Trichosanthes dioica), zinnia, cat's whiskers (Cleome gynandra L.), Crassocephalum crepidioides and grain amaranth (Amaranthus cruentus L.) causing leaf curl, leaf enation and stunting symptoms.

Grain amaranth (Amaranthus cruentus) | Yellow vein net symptoms on leaves and leaf deformation, severely infected plants remained stunted and bore smaller sized and fewer flowers. |
Pointed gourd (Trichosanthes dioica) | Mosaic and leaf distiotion |
Zinnia elegans | Leaf curl, leaf deformation and severely infected plants are stunted |
Cat's whiskers (Cleome gynandra L.) | Leaf curl, leaf deformation and severely infected plants are stunted |
