Iris yellow spot virus

Introduction
Iris Yellow Spot Virus (IYSV), is an important tospovirus infecting Garlic, Onion and Leek. Infected plants produce chlorotic and straw colored spindle like lesion.

Particle Morphology
Pleomorphic enveloped particles.
Transmission Method
Transmitted through thrips (Thrips tabaci) in a persistent propagative manner; not transmitted by seed.

ELISA and RT-PCR methods.
