Management of Fusarium wilt disease of banana using chemical
Treatment of banana suckers with carbendazim (0.1%) applied as dipping the pared suckers for 45 minutes + drenching of carbendazim (0.1%) around the plants @ 3-4 litres/plant on 2nd, 4th and 6th month after planting + stem injection with carbendazim (0.1%) @ 4 ml/ plant at 3rd, 5th and 7th month after planting resulted in complete suppression of Fusarium wilt disease in cv. NeyPoovan.
It can be one of the components in the IDM of Fusarium wilt disease of banana
Different types of method of application has been developed and standardized for the effective management of the disease
